Celebrating 50 years: Please donate to our capital campaign

For 50 years The Tutorial Center has provided supplemental education for Bennington County. We are reaching out to our community, both individuals and businesses, to help us attain our goal of moving to a new, bigger, and better space. We are an integral part of the Bennington community and know that our services are more important than ever. Post-pandemic numbers are increasing, and people are seeking a variety of services. Local schools and employers look to TTC to assist their students and employees with gaining a high school diploma, skill building, and job readiness and advancement skills. Additionally, TTC has played a vital role in providing English Language Learning to the New Americans in Bennington County. In addition, we provide a free path to a high school diploma or a GED for any Vermonter 16 and up without a diploma.

In January 2023, The Tutorial Center purchased 451 Main Street in Bennington, the former Bennington Sports and Graphics building. Above is a schematic of the planned phase 1 renovation. We have saved $300k over the past decade and secured a loan, as well as applied for state and national grants. Due to several factors, including the rising cost of construction and several necessary critical building system replacements, we find ourselves short of our goal. We need to raise $75k immediately to complete phase 1, which will enable us to move out of our current insufficient and cramped space and begin hosting learners in the bright new environment shown above. Many generous community members have donated already, and we thank them heartily. Please consider a gift that will help to grow this vital organization for our community.
